Manitoba Families of Multiples was formed in 1966 by a group of five mothers of twins and triplets who were interested in meeting to discuss their common problems and to share solutions. From that modest start, MBFOM has supported over 1,000 member families throughout the years – that’s a lot of multiples! Our main objectives are to provide guidance and moral support to families of multiple births and to promote an interest in and supply information about multiples to any interested group or individual.
Our new members are important to us! We host two social events every year just for new members. These events are a great way to meet other new parents and families, learn about our club, meet the Executive volunteers and make new friends.

The MBFOM sale is a chance for members to sell their gently used children's clothing and toys. The sale is also open to the general public for shopping.
In many countries, as many as 1 in 5 new mothers experiences some type of perinatal mood and anxiety disorder (PMADs). These illnesses frequently go unnoticed and untreated, often with tragic and long-term consequences to both mother and child.
Raising awareness, and starting the discussion about maternal mental health are important steps in alleviating the stigma many mothers feel.
