MBFOM is celebrating I Love to Read month, this February 2022. The goal of this month is to encourage reading, writing and sharing in the joy of literacy.
The theme this year is “Moving forward with hope”. This open-ended theme could pertain to a variety of contemporary issues. We all need to move forward with hope as we recover from the pandemic, in our communities and our families. We need creative ways to deal with various national and global challenges and crises with renewed optimism and fresh perspectives. This topic may lead you to explore social-emotional aspects of literacy learning such as fostering understanding, empathy, and compassion, as people heal and follow paths of reconciliation, and welcome immigrants and refugees to our communities.
